Well before my wife and I were married we shared intimate discussions about our dreams, goals, and beliefs (like most healthy couples). On the topic of money, we shared our financial goals and we were surprised how aligned our individual plans were (I'm not sure if this is common or not)!
On the same topic my good friend recently sent me a New York Time article on how the key to wedding bliss is to marry someone who shares similiar personal finance goals ("The Key to Wedded Bliss? Money Matters"). And, boy, couldn't I agree more with the article! Thanks, Av.
